| My guess is that they are not even really gay when they are committing the "gay" act. I think for some it is just that they are in prison so long and they have that biological need to be fulfilled so they decide that they don't care who it is with. Some did not have a choice when they were in prison- prison rape. Some are too ashamed to admit they were and are gay and remain in the closet when not in jail. It is also not nearly as acceptable for a man to be gay than it is for a woman to be lesbian; it's kind of like a double standard in that respect. Society looks down on homosexuality, and males being homosexual really pay the price.
